Well, I’ve finally done it. As you can see, (in the spare time that I should have spent on starting my Drawing project that I’m way behind on, or the TechPost essay thingy that’s due this week) I’ve created a new blog. Obviously, it’s a little empty right now, but that’ll hopefully change in the near future. Odds are, though, that that’s probably not going to happen…

So, you’re probably asking, “What’s the point of this?” and I’ll tell you, even though you’re probably not asking that at all because you just plain don’t care; you’ve probably already left…if so, screw you. Anyhow,  the point of this shiny, new blog of mine, is mostly to have a place for me to rant, rave, and review. Facebook notes and twitter updates just weren’t cutting it for me. Believe it or not, It’s difficult to summarize all your feelings into one or two sentences. Shocker, I know. Also, who uses Xanga anymore?! Am I right or am I right?

What can you expect to see on this blog? Well, if you were paying attention four sentences ago, you might recall me stating that I’ll mostly be ranting, raving, and reviewing (plus, some posts about the Canucks, of course…). Ranting about anything that enrages me, which is a lot of things, such as, say, slow walking people. Raving about awesomeness like old cartoons. And reviewing anything from films to TV shows, to comics, to video games, etc. The reviews would probably have crazy amounts of spoilers, though. Maybe I’ll do Spoiler-free Reviews for the people who haven’t seen/read/played/tried it, and then another post for Discussions where I can nitpick at every little detail and throw around all the spoilers I want for people who have. That’s a good idea, If i must say so myself in a most narcissistic manner.  :D

And, now, onto my next explanation: Why the name Geek Locale? Short answer is that I’m a big geek. Not literally, since I am actually a small Asian girl, whose friends tend to tower above her… those sky-scraping freaks… Luckily, this does not detract from my sheer awesomeness… But I digress (you’ll find that I do that a lot). I’m a geek, and this is my place(and yours, if you so choose)  to geek out. Geek of all trades, master of none. I am geek about a lot of things: comics, movies, animation, anime/manga, TV, sports (mainly hockey), games, electronics, science, history, etc. I know quite a bit about most of them, but I’m definitely no expert on any of them. So don’t expect me to know every single little detail about the Green Lantern or something, ’cause there’s only so much information that my brain can hold. Anyway, at the time of choosing the site name, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be my own personal blog or a group blog for my friends and I (and I’m still not 100% sure yet) so, I decided to go for a more ambiguous name for the blog, instead of just something like “Vivian’s Blog.”

Well, the time has come to end this superfluous (been dying for a chance to use that word) introduction post. I hope you’ll come back (of your own free will) to read my future posts.
